1) Flipkart Sale

New Year Sale Mobile Bonanza has started on Flipkart from 3rd to 5th January. Flipkart is offering great deals and discounts on an entry-level smartphone as well as on the flagship smartphones of 2017. It also includes offers like no-cost EMIs, buyback guarantees, extended warranties and exchange discounts.

2) Honor V10

Honor has released its price for Honor View 10 in India. The phone that was launched in China in November will now be available in India for Rs 29,999. It will be available via sale on Amazon India from 12am IST on Monday, January 8 and registrations are now open on the e-commerce site. It is based on AI technology with 18:9 resolution, 5.99" FHD+ IPS LCD display and runs on Android 8.0. It has a dual rear camera(16MP RGB, 20MP monochrome).

3) Nokia 6 Leaks

Nokia 6 that is going to be officially announced tomorrow by HMD Global has been leaked by a Chinese retailer. It comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 630 chipset, a fingerprint sensor on the back and redesigned accents around the edges and the camera. An octa-core CPU clocked at 2.2GHz with 4GB RAM and 32 or 64GB storage expandable upto 128GB. The rear camera is 16MP with f/2.0 lens and the front camera is 8MP with f/2.0 lens. But, the phone still has Android 7.1.1 OS with promises to get Android Oreo soon.

4) Meltdown Spectre Flaws

Google Project Zero researchers along with others discovered the flaws which might let the hackers steal sensitive information from nearly every modern computing device containing Intel, AMD and ARM chips. Phones, PCs everything is going to have some impact. Meltdown affects Intel Chips and Spectre affects chips from Intel, AMD, and ARM. 

5) Whatsapp Messenger

On New Year's Eve, it is obvious that you had messages to your friends and family. So congrats, as you are one of those who had sent 20 billion messages in India and 75 billion Worldwide as revealed by Whatsapp.  

6) Xbox One X

Microsoft's next-generation gaming console i.e., the Xbox One X has been officially launched in India at Rs 44,990. It is available in India from 15th January. Specifications as follows-
  • CPU: Eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz as opposed to eight Jaguar cores clocked at 2.1GHz in Sony's PS4 Pro
  • GPU: 40 customised compute units at 1,172 MHz as opposed to 36 improved GCN compute units at 911 MHz in the PS4 Pro
  • RAM: 12GB GDDR5 (with 9GB dedicated to games) as opposed to 8GB in the PS4 Pro
  • Bandwidth: 326 GB/s as opposed to 218 GB/s in the PS4 Pro
  • Storage: 1TB
